Report card & Valentines day

So the weekend started off great. Emma got one of her best report cards ever!!!!!!! She has all E's. Her reading has never been better. I think we have finally given her the good base that she will need to enjoy school for the rest of her student career.
Saturday night Scott and I had a date for Valentines day. This after he had flowers delivered to me at work!!!!!!!!!!! He can be such a sweetheart. So off we went to meet some friends at the Capital Ale house for dinner before the hockey game. Dinner was fun and a few drinks later we were off to the game. While sitting at the game, I picked up my phone to find 17 missed calls......... OH NO..... Guess what Emma locked her and the babysitter out of the house!!!!!!!!! Good thing we have wonderful neighbors. They went across the street and she let them use the phone. Megan's mom picked them up and they spent the evening at Megan's house. SIGH. My little airhead...... we now have a key hidden outside, much to Scott's dismay. Since this is not the first time Em has done this...... ie she did it earlier in the day when she went outside to jump on her tramp.
At any rate. Sunday we enjoyed a quick breakfast at home and went to RIR for the camper and RV show. We had a ball, and saw some great campers. Although we learned that our truck won't pull more than 4,000 lbs.......... so there may be a new trade in, in our future......... I am sure all of our family would love us touting a trailer up to New York for a visit. But this is real camping now. With AC!!!!!! And a master bedroom, so no table to make every night :) Stay warm

Football season comes to a close

We had a great weekend. We went to see Paul Blart mall cop on Saturday. Emma has dubbed Scottie her Paul Blart....... pretty funny. Then we went and wondered around Circuit City. I now remember why I like Best Buy better. Don't know what liquidation sale they are having but their prices were higher than he normal ones at Best Buy. We gave daddy a treat and let him go to Hooters for dinner. Emma was quite intrigued by watching the girls fling the orders on the string...... even funnier was when she asked why the girls weren't wearing any panties..... Oh the things her father makes me have to explain.
Sunday was a great day. The weather couldn't of been any nicer, about 55 degrees. So off I went to do some grocery shopping, and I came home to find Emma and Scott cleaning the house for our party. I have never seen Em's room cleaner, is it possible that she is finally getting it? We'll wait and see..... you never know with her.
We had some friends over for the Super Bowl, and had a great time. Emma made some new friends, and it was fun to just relax and let the kids play and watch the game. I tried out some new recipes, turkey chili, a spinach dip and some nachos. The guys loved the chili and didn't even know it was turkey...... Only problem, we all stayed up way too late. Everyone left around 1:30 and the kids were still wide awake. Needless to say, it will be an early night for everyone tonight.
Other than that it is just the same old same old. Back to work. Scottie is on call this week, so we won't be doing much.
Hope everyone up north is keeping warm................................
